UNIMAC COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY

The Unimac brand is well recognized as an industry leader for the On-Premises Laundry market. The brand specializes and offers only OPL products therefore it is not distracted as many other brands by trying to make cross over products for other industries such as coin applications or dry cleaning applications. The products, controls, programs, delivery, installation and support are all designed around creating a smooth work flow in a commercial on-premises laundry environment. There are three types of washers and multiple dryer configurations.

CHICAGO DRYER

Chicago specializes in designing and building systems to separate, feed, dry, iron/finish, and fold washed sheets, pillowcases, and table linen, as well as tumble dried towels, blankets, patient gowns, scrubs, and specialty or luxury items.

NEW HARCO TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE

Mississauga, ON, Canada: Harco Co. Ltd. wishes to inform the industry of Joseph Hanna joining the Harco sales team. Joseph will take over the Ontario territory concentrating on the Textile Care & Restoration industry and specifically, the Harco supplied Wet Cleaning equipment and Concord detergents.

Joseph grew up in the Textile Care industry alongside his father who started in dry-cleaning in 1992. Joseph has been at the forefront of the wet cleaning revolution since 1998 as one of the first to implement the newly imported wet cleaning systems in Canada from Germany. His family grew the business as an award-winning leader for almost 30 years now that include a multitude of franchises and a coin laundry.

Joseph went to University in the U.S. and studied International Commerce, Supply Chain and Marketing Management. Joseph brings a legacy of knowledge within the textile care industry to Harco. We are happy to welcome Joseph to the Harco sales team and look forward to having Joseph provide the textile care equipment & solutions industry with his unique entrepreneurial background.

HARCO RECOGNIZED WITH MARKETING EXCELLENCE AWARD FROM MAYTAG®COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY

Harco Co. Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario, received the Maytag® Commercial Laundry Marketing Excellence Award at the brand’s 60th Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 19, 2019. This award honours companies that implement and grow marketing and sales programs while supporting Maytag® Commercial Laundry offerings In attendance to accept the Marketing Excellence Award on Harco’s behalf were Bob Stevens, Rob Jackson and Malcolm Caldwell.

Harco Co. Ltd. was founded in 1961 and has been a Maytag® Commercial Laundry distributor since 1984. The company focuses on providing quality products and unsurpassed service to various markets throughout all of Canada including the health care, hospitality, multiple housing businesses, and coin laundry industries. The company has previously been honoured five times with the Fred Maytag Traveling Trophy for Sales Excellence, four times with the Maytag Red Carpet Service® Excellence Award, and was recognized with the Quality Partner of the Year award in 2017.

Harco was recently awarded their 4th Red Carpet Service Excellence Award from Maytag Commercial Laundry. Celebrations were held in the Harco offices in Mississauga and Montreal recognizing the team effort it takes to win an award of international significance. Maytag Commercial Laundry recognizes only one commercial distributor from its worldwide network as the best in terms of service responsiveness, professionalism and ongoing training and customer support. The fact Harco has been so recognized 4 times since 1990 is indicative of a service commitment second to none.

NEW HARCO TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE

Mississauga, ON, Canada: Harco Co. Ltd. wishes to inform the industry of Mark Harrington joining the Harco sales team. Mark will take over the Harco territory of Eastern & Northern Ontario. This vast territory extends from the Quebec border to the Manitoba border with the exception of the GTA and southwest Ontario.

Mark is a laundry industry veteran with over 10 years of experience with Alpine Chemical. He was responsible for growing the chemical business in the Ottawa valley from a staff of 1 to a full-fledge office employing 4 and still growing. Mark became familiar with Harco and the Unimac brand of equipment by taking care of our shared customers with their detergent needs after Harco had installed the laundry equipment.

Mark & his wife, Vanessa, live just west of Ottawa and they enjoy country living. Mark grew up on a farm in Downeyville Ontario and had a solid hockey career. He still enjoys lacing up the skates and also is a volunteer firefighter for the local department. Mark recently took and passed the TSSA gas licensing exam and this knowledge will serve him well as he consults with his customers on the best laundry solutions. We are happy to welcome Mark to the Harco sales team and look forward to having Mark provide the industry with unique laundry equipment solutions.
