It utilizes a phone app with stored value and a little Bluetooth device attached internally to the washer or dryer board’s payment input. The phone app carries the bank value that is downloaded through a website and the customer’s credit card. The amount to start the machine is deducted from the prepaid funds on the app.

If you want a system that accepts all types of cashless payments (credit/debit, prepaid cards, Apple pay, etc.), the Nayax system might be what you are looking for. It uses a cellular-enabled card reader on each machine to verify that the laundry user’s debit/credit/phone app is valid and has enough stored value to start the washer or dryer. The card reader tracks the value downloaded each day and provides reporting and payment either twice a month or daily.
