In an era of increased awareness of the threat of communicable diseases, Harco is pleased to offer a “Soiled Linen Collection System” and a “Recycling Program” to commercial laundry facilities across Canada. These programs enable soiled linen to be collected from healthcare facilities for transportation to the laundry in a clean, safe and cost effective manner.
Our system utilizes an impervious, recyclable plastic bag for collecting the soiled linen which will help improve linen control and reduce operational costs, infection and employee injury. The bag is made under agreement to Harco specifications and in strict compliance with government requirements. The Canadian made bag is used in conjunction with our heavy duty tubular steel bag carrier.
The bags are made from virgin plastic resin. Those are used to collect the soiled linen in the healthcare field. Upon delivery of the linento the laundry the bag is torn openand than baled. The baled plastic is delivered to the recycling plaud.
The recycler converts used plastic into secondary resin. This type of resin is used in outdoor decking, and furniture, and products for the construction industry.
